Board Election Results

RCSC Members elected three candidates to the Board of Directors in the December 13 election. Results are as follows:

• Bill Pearson: 454
• Linda Lindquist: 423
• Carole Martinez: 385

Members cast a total 1,262 ballots, which includes absentee ballots and those cast on Election Day. The three new directors will be installed at the December 22 Board Meeting and officially take over their duties on January 1. All three will serve three-year terms.

The remaining vacancy on the Board will be filled by an appointment in January 2012. Application packets for qualified Members who are interested in an appointment will be available at the Board Office starting Friday, December 16. Interested applicants must pick up their own packet and produce a valid Member card. Packets need to be completed and returned to the Board Office no later than Friday, December 30.

Requirements for an appointment:

• Must be at least 55 years of age;

• Must be a deeded real estate owner of property in Sun City, Maricopa County, Arizona

• Must be a resident of Sun City for a minimum of two years prior to December 1, 2011

• Must be a Member in good standing;

• Must reside in Sun City, Arizona and be available at least ten months of the year;

• Must meet the requirement to hold an Arizona liquor license; and

• Must be eligible and available to serve for the year 2012
