FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
With the start of spring training just around the corner, it’s time for you to “get your game on” and gather with family, friends and neighbors at Sun City’s 2nd Annual Del Webb Days on Saturday, March 1 at the Sundial Center.
This free, fun-filled event for RCSC Cardholders and their invited guests begins at 3:00pm with sports-themed games and gourmet vendor food trucks including Burgers A’more, White Eyes Fry Bread and The Grilled Cheese Truck.
The excitement continues inside when Guy Pennachio takes to the auditorium stage from 4:30 to 6:00p.m. with his always entertaining and truly amazing tribute to Frank Sinatra. Guy knows how to croon and Sun City loves to swing to his sounds. But if good old rock and roll is more your style, The Real Tones will get the house back on their feet from 7:00 to 10:00p.m. with the tunes that we all know and love from the 50s and 60s.
Basketball fans will also get the chance to meet Tom Ambrose, a public relations professional who spent 37 years (1973-2010) in the front office of the Phoenix Suns, who will be be signing copies of his book, “Notes from the WACKO! File and Tales from the Madhouse on McDowell,” a fascinating collection of stories and oddball letters saved over his career with the Suns. “The Madhouse on McDowell” was the nickname given to the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum, where the Suns played their first 24 seasons.
And just like at the ballpark – tap beer and wine to wet your whistle will be available for your enjoyment (no outside alcohol is allowed at this event).
So come get your game on and join in the fun! Sundial Center is located at 14801 N. 103rd Ave. in Sun City.
