HOLIDAY EVENT FRIDAY, DEC. 8

The Recreation Centers of Sun City, Inc., is thrilled to invite Members & Cardholders and their guests to the annual multi-faceted holiday event.  The event will include and a variety of activity, with these three highlights for you to enjoy:

• Holiday games and activities 3 until 7 p.m. at Sundial Center. Join us for fun and interactive games, activities, as well as raffles.  We will also be taking photos with Santa between 4 and 6 p.m.  We invite you to bring your own camera so we can capture a shot for you.  Coffee, cocoa and cider $1 while supplies last. Get your holidays started on the right foot!
• The Great Duck Race!  There will be two duck races both livestreamed so that the audience can view the entire race as it happens, from the Sundial Auditorium screens.  The first race begins at 4:15 p.m., and the second race begins at 5 p.m.  Winners will be called for each race (based upon numbers on the bottom of the ducks that win the race). Duck bucks are no longer available except on the day of the event until about 4 p.m., when they can be purchased at the event for $1 each entry. Proceeds go toward the Sun City Foundation.
• Decorated Golf Cart Tour:  We have almost 100 golf carts registered to begin their tour for everyone to enjoy, starting at 6:30 p.m. We are excited to see how they are decorated for our entertainment.  Please click here to see the map of the tour route so you can find a good place to watch!

HOLIDAY CONCERT 6 PM WED., DEC. 13

Get into the holiday spirit with “In the Christmas Mood: A Holiday Music Spectacular,” an evening that will be filled with singing, dancing, live music and holiday magic in a show that pays homage to Andy Williams and Bing Crosby Christmas specials.  The production features timeless treasures such as “Sleigh Ride,” “Here Comes Santa Claus,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” and more.  Come enjoy this event FREE to RCSC Members & Cardholders (photo cards required for entry) on Wednesday, Dec. 13, at the Sundial Auditorium.  Doors open at 5 p.m. with the show starting at 6 p.m. See the flyer here.

ANNUAL BOAT PARADE FRIDAY, DEC. 15

(The Lake is Fully Open for RCSC Members, Cardholders & Guests!)

The lake is open!  RCSC Members & Cardholders are already active in the lake, with lakeside homeowners enjoying their boats, and other Members & Cardholders enjoying appropriate recreational equipment. Check in at the Mini Golf Facilities Assistant station to visit the lake, and walk along the beautiful Hillside Park, or to enjoy the paddle boats.  We remind you to please check the Cardholders Guide to ensure we are all safely enjoying this amazing amenity.

As the lake comes back to life, we are excited to invited to join us for the return of the Viewpoint Lake Boat Parade on Friday, Dec. 15. Enjoy an afternoon at the lake, starting at 3:30 p.m., with paddle boats, an historic tour and presentations on the lake construction.  The boat parade will begin at 6:15 p.m. The recently renovated mini golf course will be open and available as well, with a beautiful view of the lake as you play.  Please watch for more details to come.  Thank you to all of the Viewpoint Lake homeowners who are jumping in to celebrate the return of the beautiful lake.

SANTAS FOR SENIORS

Help us make the holidays a little brighter for those RCSC Members who have qualified for Sun City Foundation assistance this past year, by selecting a tag from one of our Santas for Seniors trees located by the Facilities Assistants at Bell and Fairway centers.  Friday, Dec. 8, is the last day to select a tag!  Please return with a $25 gift card of your choice to the RCSC Corporate Office at Lakeview Center by Friday, Dec. 8!  Thank you for helping out your neighbors.

BLOOD DRIVE AT BELL CENTER

We invite the community to join us for our Vitalant Blood Drive hosted by the Sun City Welcome Center at 16824 N. 99th Ave. at Bell and 99th Ave., between 8 a.m. to noon on Thursday and Friday, Dec. 14 & 15th.  Each donor will be provided a free Streets of New York pizza voucher courtesy of Vitalant.  Call 877-25-VITAL to schedule, and walk ins are welcome.  Thank you for saving lives!

Saturday, December 9 at 2pm: Sun City Concert Band presents their annual Christmas Concert – Sundial Auditorium. Free for RCSC Members/Cardholders & guests.

Sunday, December 10 at 1:30pm: Sun City Women’s Chorus Christmas Concert – Sundial Auditorium. Tickets are $5 in advance from Chorus Members or at the door.

Online voting in the 2023 RCSC Board of Directors Election is underway on the RCSC Web Portal. View recordings on RCSC YouTube of Candidate Forums and Interviews. RCSC Members can request Absentee Ballots at Lakeview Corporate/Board Office or 623-561-4600. In-person voting on Election Day, Tues., December 12, 2023, is 8am to 4pm in Lakeview Social Hall #2.
