The Recreation Centers of Sun City Board of Directors and the Elections Committee is pleased to announce the names of the candidates running in this year’s board election:
- Bruce Alleman
- Bernice Darish
- Jerry DeLano
- Stella Van Ness
- David Wieland
These five candidates are vying for three 3-year positions and one 2-year position on the RCSC Board of Directors.
Online voting will begin on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 8am. RCSC Members are encouraged to sign up and use the RCSC Web Portal at www.sunaz.com and select RCSC Cardholder Login to cast their ballots. RCSC Members may also vote in-person on Election Day, Tuesday, December 13, 2016, from 8am to 4pm in Lakeview Social Hall #2.
Absentee ballots can be obtained for those unable to vote online or in-person by contacting the RCSC Board Office at 623-561-4600 beginning November 7; the last day to request an absentee ballot is December 2 and all absentee ballots must be received no later than December 13.
Candidates in attendance will be introduced at all upcoming Board/Member Exchanges and Board of Director meetings. A special evening Board Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 6:30pm in Fairway Center Arizona Rooms1-2 to afford Members with daytime commitments the opportunity to attend. Light refreshments will be served during social time beginning at 6pm.
Candidate literature will be available at various RCSC locations (yet to be announced) beginning on Friday, October 28, 2016.
In addition, RCSC Cardholders will have the opportunity to meet the candidates and hear their stance on the issues at two upcoming Candidate Forums:
- Thursday, November 3 at 2pm; social begins at 1:30pm – Fairway Center, Arizona Rooms 1-2
- Tuesday, November 15 at 7pm; social begins at 6:30pm – Marinette Auditorium
Light refreshments will also be served at these forums and RCSC Cardholders are encouraged to attend.
