Sun City residents will take to the Sundial stage once again as they compete in this year’s “Dancing with the Sun City Stars” on Friday, March 27 at the Sundial Auditorium.
Presented in conjunction with the nationally acclaimed Utah Ballroom Dance Company, the six Sun City resident participants in this year’s competition were selected in a random drawing from those wishing to take part in the event. Contestants vying for the coveted mirror ball trophy this year are Donna Anderson, Jonia Howard, Bonnie Sears, Ben Roloff, Scott Root, and Jay Shearman.
For one grueling week prior to the show, these members will meet their much younger and professional dance partners, select songs and costumes, and practice, practice, practice right up to show time in the hopes of winning approval from the audience who will have the final say on who will become the next Sun City Star!
Critiques and colorful commentary on each performance will be offered by the panel of judges while introductory videos of each couple will provide the audience with insight into each contestant’s hopes, desires and fears as they anticipate their stage debut.
While votes are being tallied, the audience will delight in the performance by the Utah Ballroom Dance Company that promises to be entertaining, energetic and mesmerizing.
This event is free to all RCSC Cardholders and their escorted guests. Doors open at 6:00p.m. and the show starts at 7:00p.m. Gourmet food vendors will arrive 1-1/2 hour before show time for your dining pleasure.
Sundial Auditorium is located at 14801 N. 103rd Ave. in Sun City.
