FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE If you missed it last year, make your plans right now to attend this year’s “Dancing with the Sun City Stars” on Friday, March 28 at the Sundial Auditorium.
Presented in conjunction with the Utah Ballroom Dance Company, the six participants in this year’s competition include RSCS Dance Club members who were selected by lottery. Those dancing from Sun City include Nancy Nixon and David Postgate from Rockin’ thru the Years; Darrell Hogg, Sandy Ferrara and Ron Phillip from Sun City Ballroom Dance; and Peggy Servetas from the Sun City Line Dance Club.
For one grueling week prior to the show, these members will meet their much younger dance partners, select songs and costumes, and practice, practice, practice right up to show time in the hopes of bringing home the coveted “mirror ball” trophy.
And just like on the TV, there will be introductory videos of each couple and the audience votes for the winners. After the competition round, the audience will delight in the performance by the “professional” dancers that once again promises to be entertaining, energetic and mesmerizing.
This event is free to all RCSC Cardholders and their invited guests. Doors open at 6:00p.m. and the show starts at 7:00p.m. Gourmet food vendors will arrive 1-1/2 hour before show time for your dining pleasure.
