Maricopa County Inspection at Dog Park Reveals Limited Issues

April 18, 2013

A recent inspection of the Recreation Center of Sun City owned Duffeeland Dog Park by Maricopa County officials in response to a complaint from an area resident confirmed that the park is clean and well maintained.

Sam Jorgenson, inspector for the Maricopa County Environmental Services Department, found the property located at the southwest corner of Thunderbird Road North and Del Webb Boulevard in Sun City to be free of feces and there were no signs of rodent activity or infestation.

The only concern mentioned was lack of covers for trash receptacles; however it was noted that all waste was enclosed in plastic bags. RCSC has since placed lidded trash containers on site and will be replacing an open top dumpster for one with a lid.

The dog park for RCSC cardholders and their invited guests only is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to sunset.
