The future is coming, and the Recreation Centers of Sun City is ensuring we are prepared to maintain favorite activities as we also look ahead to new opportunities as part of a study with Arizona State University.
Results of the first step of an ongoing research project with Arizona State University were released this month, and are available for members to review using the links below.
The community-wide survey offers a detailed review of the priorities and the interests of residents. It also showcases the unique values that makes Sun City special. In one example, 78% of men and 75% of women surveyed said they felt a strong “sense of community” and the majority of those surveyed rated the variety of activities available to members highly.
“Sun City has a long history of leading the way in planning a premier retirement community that offers the very best in quality of life,” said Bill Cook, General Manager of the RCSC. “We are reviewing the results of the member survey to ensure we maintain that high standard for everyone as we plan ahead for the future.”
Residents reviewed preferences in technology, communications, clubs, activities, among other topics related to the advantages of living in a community featuring eight recreation centers, in the survey.
A follow up working group allowed residents to engage further with specific ideas regarding technology, vision, marketing, and future goals. Both reports are available on the RCSC website now, with more work to come in partnership with ASU.
“We loved how engaged RCSC members were during the working groups,” Cook said. “Thank you to everyone who has taken part.”
The first retirement community in the nation has a proud history of offering top amenities and quality of life. Watch for updates as the process moves forward at www.suncityaz.org.
Let’s continue to FOCUS ON THE FUTURE – together!
