Sun Cities Community Orchestra

Chamber Orchestra

The Sun Cities Community Orchestra is a group of dedicated musicians who enjoy playing a wide variety of music—from classical to contemporary and even a bit of jazz. The orchestra performs four to six concerts a year to appreciative audiences throughout the West Valley. It meets Wednesdays, 9-11 a.m., from October to mid-April in the Fairway Center Music Room.

Membership is open to all RCSC cardholders and their escorted guests.

The orchestra is directed by Clark Chaffee, an active performer, music education consultant, and conductor. Mr. Chaffee is also the music director for Surprise Pops Band and the West Valley Wind Ensemble and the bassist for other orchestras in the valley. He is also a drummer, vocalist, and leader of several jazz ensembles.
