Important Information Regarding 2017 Golf Course Renovation Projects
At the RCSC Board of Directors Meeting on January 26, 2017 the following statement was made:
“Litigation is pending against the Recreation Centers of Sun City, Inc. (“RCSC”) concerning the organization’s authority to assess the Preservation and Improvement Fee (“PIF”) used to fund major structural improvements and restorations to the recreational facilities in the community. While RCSC believes the challenge is without merit, RCSC has a responsibility to proceed with caution until the issue is resolved. In view of this, by unanimous vote of the Board of Directors, RCSC has suspended new PIF contracting until further notice. This means the Willowcreek/Willowbrook golf course project and the South pro shop/golf cart storage project scheduled for 2017 will be postponed.”
Therefore, the renovation schedule for Willowcreek/Willowbrook that was previously published (see below) is no longer valid.
All Sun City AZ/RCSC Golf Courses will continue to operate normally until further notice.

Willowcreek/Willowbrook 2017 Renovation Work
RCSC/Sun City golfers are advised of the following anticipated schedule for renovation work at the Willowcreek/Willowbrook Golf Course:
- February 27, 2017 to March 3, 2017: Pump Station Installation begins
- Monday March 20, 2017: Willowcreek Back Nine Closed for Green Renovation Start
- Monday, April 10, 2017: Willowcreek Front Nine Closed for Green Renovation Start
- Monday April 10, 2017: Willowbrook Golf Course Closed for Irrigation Renovation
- Anticipated opening: November following overseeding
Note: This schedule may be subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control, i.e. weather, etc.
You are further reminded that trespassing on construction sites is strictly prohibited! Please obey all notices once the course(s) are closed and refrain from causing unnecessary damage. Such activity may cause delays and additional costs to the project.
