It’s time for a big splash of fun with a Dive-In Movie and Ice Cream Social at the Mountain View Recreation Center on Saturday, August 15, 2015, beginning at 6:00p.m.
RCSC Cardholders and their escorted guests are invited to chill for the evening by starting off with tasty treats at the Ice Cream Social where you’ll chose from lots of yummy, scrumptious toppings.
Then it’s time to “splash” back and relax with a great flick in the recently renovated patio and pool area at Mountain View featuring the movie Disney’s “Frozen” – where Anna teams up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven, in a race to find sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom in eternal winter. This film is rated PG. The dive-in movie showing will begin at dusk.
If something less “animated” is more to your liking (or you would prefer air-conditioned comfort), “The Iron Lady,” starring Meryl Streep will be shown this same evening in the Mountain View Auditorium beginning at 7:00p.m. In this Oscar-winning film, an elderly Margaret Thatcher talks to the imagined presence of her recently deceased husband as she struggles to come to terms with his death while scenes from her past life, from girlhood to British prime minister, intervene.
Popcorn (both salted and unsalted) and bottled water will be available at no charge to RCSC Cardholders and their escorted guests during this indoor film screening.
Both of these events are free for RCSC Cardholders and their escorted guests. Please come prepared to show your RCSC Member or Privilege Card for entry; no key fobs accepted.
