During a special session meeting on Thursday, December 22, 2022, the Recreation Centers of Sun City Board of Directors approved the second reading for the passage of the 2023 Annual Budget as follows:
Recommendation from the Finance & Budget Committee approving the 2023 budget submission made by RCSC Management with the exception of the recommendation to transfer $4.5 Million from carryforward to the Capital Reserve. The 2023 Budget includes the increase of the annual property assessment to $525.
The final vote was 6-1 in favor with Director John Nowakowski voting no. Directors Karen McAdam and Steve Collins were absent.
The approved budget includes a $29 increase to the annual property assessment for a total of $525 per property effective February 1, 2023 ($262.50 per person for primary residences purchased prior to 2003). The cost of an annual RCSC Privilege Card (for qualified non-owners, renters) also increases $262.50.
