Duffeeland Dog Park Update

RCSC Members & Cardholders are advised that repairs & updates are underway at Duffeeland Dog Park that will cause some temporary changes to how members access the park. We appreciate your patience and understanding as these unexpected repairs and important technical updates are implemented in an effort to improve access and safety of the park well into the future.
Members & Cardholders who already have tokens to access the park can continue to use those tokens; however, until the new system is implemented, those without tokens will be supported by staff who will manually allow entrance starting in early January. Please stay tuned for details. Members with tokens may help members impacted by the needed repairs until the new system is in place.
We remind all RCSC Cardholders and Members that safety rules are in place at the park before it can be used, including vaccinations of dogs. The list can be read here. We will update Members & Cardholders as repairs and updates are implemented. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding, and we hope everyone continues to peacefully enjoy this beautiful amenity with their beloved pets.

Three Cart Golf Rule Begins January 1, 2024
RCSC Members & Cardholders are reminded that the Board of Directors has implemented a return to the three golf cart rule beginning on January 1, 2024. The rule allows any size group of players (up to five players) to use up to three golf carts regardless of group size. This policy does not apply to single-use carts (termed bicycle or scooter carts), which can still utilize up to five depending upon group size. The return to this policy is an effort to limit wear and tear on the golf courses. We appreciate your understanding and support, and wish everyone a wonderful New Year on our beautiful eight golf courses!

Discover Sun City – New? Or Not – Enjoy Our Orientation Event
Living in Sun City AZ is about more than just fun in the sun. From swimming pools to golf courses, lending a helping hand to a neighbor or serving the community at large; living in Sun City AZ offers more than just a place to call home – it offers a lifestyle unlike anywhere else.
All new and existing Sun City residents are invited to “Discover Sun City AZ” at this year’s orientation on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 in the Sundial Auditorium. There are two sessions scheduled for your convenience – 9 to 11am and 6 to 8pm. Please note that there is a short presentation during each session (at 9:30am and at 6:30pm) – so plan to arrive with time to be seated.
Clubs, groups and organizations from throughout the Sun City AZ community will be on hand to provide information and answer questions about what they do and the services they offer to residents.
Mark your calendar now and come Discover Sun City AZ! The Sundial Recreation Center is located at 14801 N. 103rd Ave. in Sun City.

Greetings this fine day and welcome to 2024!
As you see, things are different already, even in the Sun City Update you are reading right now. It is bigger and brighter, with larger print and less squint, and with more readily readable relevant information about Sun City than ever before.
And there is a good chance you had it delivered right to your door!
In this month’s Sun City Update newsletter, we are including several articles from local organizations and recaps from several RCSC Management Team Members in addition to annual club articles
We’ve expanded the Club Directory to four pull-out pages along with the full page listing of Center/Monitored Activities to help you explore all of the activities available to RCSC Members/Cardholders.
We changed and learned a lot last year, in many areas of the RCSC, and plan now to use that knowledge to make 2024 better. With changes to our planning and schedules, with improvements in our communications and timeliness, and adjustments to our staff
and organizational structure, while documenting old and new processes, and more.
Thank you for your trust, and participation, in a new year of fun and adventure with meetings, halls, and other get togethers, that are focused on improving Sun City for the Members, and Staff, with the guidance from the RCSC Board of Directors and Management.
RCSC is not just a corporation, it is a living breathing thinking discussing community of individuals with much wisdom and experience, that must work together to continue this idea, this dream, this place known the world over as Sun City, the community that changed a nation, and beyond.

Capital Projects Updates
Wednesday, January 3: Marinette Center will have two (2) canopies replaced over south outdoor pickleball courts. Courts #13 – #20 will be closed from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Friday, January 5: Fairway Center will have three (3) canopies replaced in the pool and spa area. Pool and spa area will be closed from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Tuesday, January 2 & Friday, January 5: Two mini golf canopies at Bell Center will be updated, but it should not cause any closure.
