Each Sun City AZ recreation center offers RCSC Cardholders and their guests a wide variety of options to meet their recreational and social needs, affording them the opportunity to enhance their active lifestyle and well-being. With swimming pools, fitness centers and social halls, you won’t find another active adult community in the country that offers so many choices. Whether you want to play a round of miniature golf or enjoy lawn bowling, it’s all up to you! There’s pickleball and tennis, racquetball and softball; shuffleboard, billiards and darts, too.  There really is no limit to the fun that awaits you here in Sun City AZ. RCSC Cardholders have eight Sun City recreation centers in which to play. No other 55+ community in the country can boast as many centers as the original Sun City AZ. Every recreation center offers special-interest clubs and seven centers offer myriad activities and amenities such as swimming pools & spas, fitness centers, and social halls.

Bell Recreation Center

Bell Recreation Center

Whether you are looking for a workout in a state-of-the-art fitness center, a leisurely pool walk or a game of racquetball, you can find it at Bell Center. Bell Center also features a traditional lap pool, social halls, a branch of the Maricopa County Library, the Sun City Welcome Center and numerous clubs.

Fairway Recreation Center

Fairway Recreation Center

Sun City AZ’s second oldest, and yet newest rebuilt, recreation center, Fairway Center, underwent a two-phase renovation project that was completed in 2011. Fairway is now home to a state-of-the-art fitness center, an indoor walking track and a combination lap and walking pool, in addition to numerous clubs.

Grand Center

Sun City AZ's newest property, Grand Center, brings the community right back to where it all began on January 1, 1960 as thousands of cars lined up to see the oasis in the desert created by Del Webb. Stop by and see it for yourself!

Experience another "grand" place to participate and enjoy your next adventure right here in Sun City AZ - the Original Fun City.

Lakeview Recreation Center Sun City Arizona

Lakeview Recreation Center

Lakeview, situated on the shores of scenic Viewpoint Lake, offers a wide array of activities in a truly unique setting we are lucky to enjoy. Play a game of tennis, take a dip in the pool, enjoy the miniature golf or stroll alongside Viewpoint Lake in Hillside Park. The center is home to RCSC Corporate Offices including the Board of Directors, and Cardholder Services.

Marinette Recreation Center

Marinette Recreation Center

Marinette Center, Sun City AZ’s northern most recreation center, has been totally renovated. This recreation center now boasts an expanded state-of-art fitness center, 20 pickleball courts (eight under permanent cover), outdoor spa, half-court basketball, horseshoes and rubberized walking track.

Mountain View Recreation Center

Mountain View Recreation Center

Mountain View, Sun City AZ’s southernmost recreation center, provides many activities for RCSC Cardholders, with numerous sports amenities and an auditorium for performances and special events. With the recent installation of seven new pickleball courts, the array of Sun City AZ recreation choices continues to expand.

Oakmont Recreation Center

Oakmont is Sun City AZ’s first recreation center. With the most recent facelift, completed in 2016, Oakmont has an updated look while keeping all of its original charm. This center has plenty of activities, and as of May 2022 the pool and spa now use a state of the art hyper dissolved oxygen and ozone system for sanitation. Right next door is the Del Webb Sun Cities Museum.

Sundial Recreation Center

Sundial Center boasts RCSC’s only indoor swimming pools. The exercise pool features an automated chair-lift for Cardholders with special needs, and there is a ramp allowing easy access for those with disabilities. Numerous concerts and special events are held in Sundial Auditorium. Sundial Center is also the home of the Sun City AZ Mineral Museum.

Sun Bowl Amphitheater & Ballfield

The Sun Bowl, an open-air amphitheater, is Sun City AZ’s premier entertainment venue. Every spring and fall the Sun Bowl plays host to numerous concerts, performances and other events. The Sun Bowl complex is situated on approximately 9.1 acres which includes a regulation softball field in addition to the amphitheater. As a courtesy to others, there is no smoking in the Sun Bowl.  Smoking areas are located in the adjacent parking lot.

Duffeeland Dog Park

Duffeeland Dog Park

Duffeeland Dog Park is an off-leash dog park, owned and operated by Recreation Centers of Sun City (RCSC), serving as a social gathering spot for dog lovers and their canine friends. This unmonitored facility is for RCSC Cardholders and their invited guests only and use of this facility is at your own risk.

Operating Hours:

  • October through April: 7am to 6pm
  • May through September: 6am to 8pm
  • Closed last Wed. each month for maintenance
