FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The RCSC Elections Committee is pleased to announce a ninth candidate for this year’s Board of Directors Election.
Joan Swingle, who withdrew as a candidate although she had submitted the required candidate packet information in a timely manner has, upon further consideration, put her hat back into the ring.
“Shortly after I committed to run in the RCSC election, I found out my brother was quite ill. After much family discussion, my sister has agreed to help him convalesce while undergoing treatment. I promise to dedicate myself to the community (Sun City) with passion and proven leadership skills,” Swingle stated. “After evaluating the time requirements and dedication rightly expected of a board member, I am now confident that I can make the commitment necessary.”
Candidates that attend upcoming RCSC Board of Director meetings and Board/Member Exchanges will be introduced. Members are also invited to meet the candidates at two upcoming forums: Monday, November 11 at 6:30p.m. in the Marinette Auditorium and Tuesday, November 19 at 1:30pm in Fairway AZ Rooms 3 and 4.
Online voting through the RCSC Web Portal begins on Monday, November 11 and continues until Election Day, December 10. Members who have registered on the portal will have the convenience of being able to vote anytime, anywhere (home, office, library – here in Sun City or out of town) during this period. Those without access to a computer can vote on Election Day at the Lakeview Center only (Social Hall 2) from 8a.m. to 4p.m.
RCSC is also offering two more informational sessions for Members interested in learning more about the Web Portal. These will be held on Thursday, November 7 at 1:30p.m. in the Marinette Auditorium and Wednesday, November 13 at 10:00a.m. in Fairway Arizona Room 1.
