Chartered in 1987, Artistic Stained Glass is Sun City’s only stained glass club dedicated completely to stained and kiln formed glass art work. We boast many talented members and qualified instructors. Visitors are welcome. We will give you a tour of our club and explain the history of our prized Carousel. You can visit with club members, check out their projects, and view the beautifully crafted artwork for sale.
Membership is open to residents of Sun City who have a current RCSC membership card. The Basic Beginning Stained Glass Class is required of everyone wishing to joining our club. To sign up and reserve your space in the classroom, bring your RCSC card with photo ID to the club along with a $20 non-refundable deposit. The on-duty monitor will assist you with registration and choosing a class time. The class meets three times a week over a two week period.
Each class takes four hours. Classes are available morning, afternoon or evening. At the end of the two week course you will have two projects to display with pride in your home. After completing the Basic Orientation Class, members have full use of all the club’s equipment and tools. Once monitoring requirements are met, you can then take other classes offered by the club. Some of our classes include principles of fusing, stepping stones, sand blasting, 3-D iris, and kaleidoscope, just to name a few.
