Sun City Line Dance Club boasts, according to Guinness, “the largest line dance club in the world” with over 500 members. There aren’t that many steps to know, and it’s usually easy to follow another’s lead if you get lost. That’s what’s fun about it—not all eyes are on you.
While many may start out with the intention of trying a dance or two, many more become addicted to line dancing because they love the music, the confidence that grows from mastering a dance, the friendships that start to form, and more.
Those of us who are already line dancers know the benefits. It isn’t simply getting some exercise. Line dancing may surprise you with all it has to offer and how it can benefit you and your mental/physical health. Many people love to line dance, and you don’t need a partner. It is fun, good exercise, and a great form of dance all on its own. Line dancing can also be a fun way to improve your dance skills, the same skills learned in line dancing will apply to any form of couple dancing. At all of our line dances, a wide variety of songs and rhythms are played. Sundial’s air-conditioned auditorium is a great place in the summer to keep cool and dance on the largest wood floor in the West Valley.
Sun City Line Dance Club has members of all dance levels, from those who have never danced to those who have danced a lot. Our Line Dancers are of all ages through 98 years young! Escorted guests & RCSC visitors are welcome. Everyone starts out dancing as a beginner, and Line Dance has had many beginners who learned and progressed to advanced. A wide variety of music & songs are played. You never know who might be waiting to meet you at Line Dance!
