The RCSC Management Team is pleased to announce the selection of the Sheriff’s Posse of Sun City as the beneficiary of its 2014 charitable giving efforts.
Each year, a Sun City organization is selected and funds are raised through donations and various functions throughout the year, culminating with the annual Sun City Holiday Celebration in December.
“Staff works hard and much personal time is spent conducting fundraising events to benefit an organization each year that directly helps the community,” said RCSC General Manager Jan Ek. “I am pleased to announce the selection of the Posse, who provide so much not only at RCSC events, but whose volunteers patrol the streets of Sun City on a routine basis, assist with traffic control when necessary and offer the vacation watch program to our residents.”
Last year’s recipient, Sun City Community Assistance Network, recently received a check from the RCSC in the amount of $8,231.52 which will be used to fund tickets for a free Dial-A-Ride program for low income Sun Citians in need of transportation.
