Insurance Programs
Medical Plan provides coverage for eligible, medically necessary expenses incurred by employees and their dependents. Medical premiums for employees are 95% employer paid and 5% employee paid. Medical premiums for dependents are 65% employer paid and 35% employee paid.
Dental Plan provides eligible employees and their dependents with coverage for dental expenses. Dental premiums are 100% employee paid.
Life Plan provides employee’s families with financial security in the event of the employee’s death. The program adjusts to meet specific needs by offering Corporation Term Life Insurance, Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) coverage and Additional Term Life Insurance. Corporation Term Life and AD&D premiums are 100% employer paid. Additional Term Life Insurance premiums are 100% employee paid.
Short Term Disability (STD) provides employees with protection during an unplanned event that is the result of a non-occupational injury or illness for both total and partial disabilities. Coverage begins after completing a 14 day elimination period certified by a physician. STD premiums are 100% employer paid.
Long Term Disability (LTD) provides employees with protection during an unplanned event that is the result of a non-occupational injury or illness for both total and partial disabilities that continues to keep an employee away from work longer than 180 days. LTD premiums are 100% employer paid.
Financial/Income Protection Programs
Family and Medical Leave of Absence (FMLOA) provides eligible employees with periods of leave to care for sick family members or newborn, adopted, or step children. Such leaves may also be taken if the eligible employee has a serious health condition. Periods of leave are also provided to military families to include employees caring for an injured service member, as well as employees who have a family member called to active duty.
Premium Contribution Account (PCA) enables employees to use pretax dollars to pay for their contributions for insurance premiums.
Dependent Care Assistance Plan (DCAP) allows employees who have a need to pay for the care of their children or disabled dependent family members to set aside pretax dollars for the cost of care.
Medical Expense Reimbursement Plan (MERP) allows you to set aside pretax dollars to pay for out-of-pocket medical and dental expenses for you and your eligible dependents. Funds from this account can be used to pay for expenses such as copayments, coinsurance and uncovered medical expenses.
Retirement Savings Plan 401(k) helps employees prepare financially for retirement. Contributions are made to retirement accounts by employees and RCSC.
Tuition Reimbursement Program assists you in continuing your education and professional growth. This program covers up to $500 in eligible tuition expenses each calendar year for certain educational programs.
Workers’ Compensation, an insurance program directed by the State, paid for by RCSC, covers the medical expenses and disability income costs for lost time (wages) after a specific number of days for employees who are injured on the job or suffer a work related illness.
Work/Life Programs
Gifts and Memorials recognize an employee who is hospitalized, or who has a death in the family with either flowers or memorial contribution from the Corporation.
Time Off Programs
Vacation leave increases in length with years of service until the employee reaches the maximum allowable vacation of 25 days per year.
Holidays provided by the Corporation are nine paid floating holidays per calendar year for full time regular employees. All holidays are compensated at a total of eight hours pay for each holiday and may be taken in four or eight hour increments. Floating holidays are to be used at the employee’s discretion with supervisory approval.
Sick Leave may be taken for an employee’s own illness/health condition or to care for an ill dependent. Payment for care of an ill dependent is limited to 4 days or 32 hours per year. Unused sick time accumulates until it reaches the maximum allowable of 240 hours.
Military Leave may be granted to members of the United States military to fulfill military obligations and are guaranteed job restoration rights following separation from military service.
Special Absences provide paid leave for conferences, jury duty or death in the immediate family.
Other Programs
Credit Union is an alternative or complementary program to regular banking. Other financial programs and services are also offered through the credit union with which RCSC is affiliated.
Direct Deposit is the option of having paychecks directly deposited to the employee’s bank account(s).
Employee Referral Program entitles an employee to a monetary award when the employee refers an individual for employment who meets the qualifications for an open requisition, is hired within one year of the initial referral date and completes 90 days and one year of service.
Recreational Facilities Privileges allows full time employees to use all of the Corporation’s recreational amenities immediately upon hire, including but not limited to: golf, bowling, exercise rooms, spas, swimming pools, courts, movies, etc. All facilities are available for the employee’s use “free of charge” except for a small fee charged for golf cart rental. An employee may bring guest(s) for golf and bowling play by paying the applicable guest(s) fee(s); however, guest(s) may not use the remainder of the facilities.
Service Award Program recognizes employees who have been employed by RCSC for five or more continuous years of service.
