General Centers Information

Cardio equipment instruction manuals have been assembled and placed at all fitness rooms for cardholder reference. A special thank you goes to Frank Furey the RCSC fitness technician for making this happen.

In 2011 the RCSC received a total of $11,142 from Arizona Public Service (APS). The funds paid to RCSC included $10,012 for energy savings incentives for mechanical equipment replacements and a $1,130 incentive check for the APS Peak Solutions Program.

The RCSC will soon be updating the landscaped areas primarily around Bell and Sundial Centers. The work will include raking & cleaning the existing rocked areas, repairing irrigation lines to plants, trees and shrubs and installing additional decorative rock in the planter areas. Contractor for this project is National Turf. (Estimated Cost – $85,500)

Fairway Center

The Fairway Phase 2 project received a Certificate of Temporary Occupancy from Maricopa County Building and Planning Department at 5pm on Friday November 4, 2011. The facility was opened for cardholder use on Tuesday November 8, 2011. (Completion of some guard rail modifications and installation of the pool /spa shade sails were still required for issuance of the final Certificate of Occupancy.) Since those items are now completed the final paperwork will be submitted very soon to Maricopa County Planning and Development. Once Maricopa County Planning and Development verifies that they have all the required project documentation they will issue the RCSC the final Fairway (Phase 2) Certificate of Occupancy.
