Bell Lanes Bowlers Accomplish Rare Feat
On March 28, 2013 at Bell Lanes, Newlyweds Gary Estep and Brenda Burns-Estep both bowled a 300 Game, in the same game on the same team! Gary and Brenda were married on March 21, 2013 and had just returned from their honeymoon. In the first game on the Sun City Scratch Classic League at Bell Lanes, leadoff bowler, Brenda bowled a 300 game, to be matched by Gary bowling anchor. Gary finished with an outstanding 835 series (300-268-267), Brenda wasn’t far behind with a 720 series. Both Brenda and Gary have been bowling for 30 years. This is the first time either can recall bowling on a team where two teammates rolled 300’s in the same game. Brenda was the first woman to bowl a 300 game at Bell lanes in February of 2009 and now is the second. Her high series is 797 rolled in 2001. Gary has 40, 300 games to his credit and 20, 800 series with 867 as his high set.
This is only the 6th time in USBC history that a married couple bowled 300 games the same team game, and the second time for a couple here in AZ. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
