RCSC Celebrates Independence Day Sun City-style

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Recreation Centers of Sun City is pleased to announce the 36th Annual Ring That Bell ceremony on Friday, July 4 in the Bell Center Social Halls beginning at 9:00 a.m.

This patriotic, time-honored tradition celebrates our nation’s birthday in unique Sun City style. Our very own Uncle Sam (portrayed by resident Mike Lindquist) serves as the Master of Ceremonies.

This year’s program also includes a special appearance by Rosie the Riveters, the women who not only kept the home fires burning but worked in the munitions factories while the men went off to war.

However, the celebration doesn’t stop there.  The fun continues for RCSC Cardholders and their   invited guests as we salute America with a new twist on a 4th of July tradition – an old fashioned “indoor” picnic at Bell Lanes from 11a.m. to 2p.m.

There will be free bowling, shuffleboard and billiards to keep everyone having fun on a hot afternoon along with games and prizes, dancing and more! So why not stop by and join in the fun?

Memo’s Bistro will be serving a BBQ lunch for only $5 per person and we’ll have free cake for all as we celebrate our independence. Beer and wine will also be available.

These events are free for RCSC Cardholders and their invited guests only. The Bell Recreation Center is located at 16820 N. 99th Ave. in Sun City.
