Due to extensive deterioration of the steel supportive structure, the RCSC Board of Directors has decided to remove the sundial monument structure at Sundial Center located on the corner of 103rd Avenue and Boswell Boulevard in Sun City.
When the monument was originally erected, the structure’s steel supportive legs were not encased in concrete above ground level. Since the supportive legs have not been protected from surface water over the years they have rusted to a point where the structure is now a safety concern.
Since repair of the monument would be more expensive than removing it, the decision was made to remove it.
