February 15, 2012 | The RCSC Board of Directors announced this week that they are no longer considering removal of the Oakmont lawn bowling green. The Board believes that it is vital for a long-range plan to be completed and finalized before any discussion regarding RCSC’s amenities and recreational facilities can effectively occur.
“The Board is expecting a submittal of an initial strategic plan from the Long Range Planning Committee in the relatively near future;” explained Vice President Dan Hill, “however, it will be some time before it can be finalized by the Board. Until we have such a plan, we cannot accurately determine changes that should be made to RCSC facilities, and that includes the lawn bowling green at Oakmont.” Director Hill also serves as the Chair of the Lawn Bowling Advisory Committee.
